Ironheart Producer Discusses MCU Future for Ironheart Characters
In a recent ScreenCrush interview, Sev Ohanian was asked about Marvel Studios’ plans for the show’s characters. He expressed confidence that the stories of these characters will continue within the MCU, though not necessarily through a second season of Ironheart. Ohanian highlighted that these characters could reappear in various MCU formats.
“I can’t confirm any concrete plans, but what’s remarkable and distinct about the MCU—perhaps aside from Star Wars, which also transitions characters between series and films—is that these characters can appear anywhere,” Ohanian explained. “It might be a season two, a different series altogether, or a feature film.”
He added, “I have a strong sense that we will see these characters and their storylines progress in some form or another somewhere within the MCU. That’s all I can reveal at this time.”
Ironheart was executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler. Since its premiere, the series has earned an 86% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 97 critical reviews.
